JUNIORS

Sign on Days:

Saturday 20 & 27th February 2010 from 10am to 12pm at the Casino RSM Club.

Association Football, or 'soccer' as it is often called in Australia is the world's most popular sport. In Australia, it is the most popular team sport for children under the age of 13 years. The Casino Cobras have hundreds of registered juniors and youth players. Junior teams range from the ages of 5 to 16 and this year all teams will be travelling and competing in the Football Far North Coast Competitions.

Soccer is a great sport for your child and is very rewarding. It provides them with the opportunity to develop physically and socially in a safe and fun environment. Soccer is a game that any person can play and enjoy. Kids will meet new friends, improve social skills and improve their fitness all whilst having loads of fun. Best of all it works out just a few dollars a game.

If you would like to get your child involved, please visit the Important Dates page to check when the club's sign-on days are. Sign-on days are usually held at the Casino RSM and the competition begins early in the year. If you'd like more information, such as what the costs are, please contact the club via email or simply stay tuned to the website as we will post news regularly.

SENIORS

The benefits for senior players are much the same as above. The Cobras have senior men's, women's and youth teams which participate in Football Far North Coast travelling competitions.

If you're interested in playing, feel free to turn up to one of the club's training sessions. Pre-Season training has begun and sessions are usually run on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6pm at Colley Park. All players are welcome to come down and have a look or ask a few questions. If you'd like more information stay tuned to the website or contact Coach - Scott Creighton or Assistant Coach - Wayne Mortimer.

FUTSUL/Twilight

Futsul, or 'indoor soccer' is a variation of the game played indoors usually on a basketbal court or specialised pitch.Twilight football is a similar game played on a similar sized court except it is played outdoors in the afternoons.

Futsul/Twilight Football are suitable for men, women, and children with mixed teams being common. The game goes for 40 minutes in total and is a great way to develop skills and keep fit. Football is an affordable way to have fun, meet new people, stay fit and develop new skills. Social and competitive competitions exist.

For the past 3 years, Cobras have run Futsul/Twilight competitions. The Cobras intend to run similar competitions each year from September through to March. If you are interested, stay tuned to this site as information will be posted as the season approaches.
